Events

The Grand Hotel is pleased to take part in the Swanage Blues, Jazz and Folk festivals and offers venues for many of the renowned musicians who perform then. The Hotel also holds musical performances privately by local jazz hero Steve Darrington, Jim Etherington and many others throughout the year. The concerts take place in the main lounge, providing the perfect location for the nights entertainment with the bar behind you and the view of Swanage Bay in the background.

Weddings / Functions

The ideal location is the conservatory accommodating up to 60 persons  and commanding magnificent views across Swanage Bay, thus making it the ideal venue for photographs of your special day.

There are several options for your wedding reception. The restaurant can cater for sit down meals or buffets up to 100 persons. Alternatively, a marquee can be placed on our extensive lawn for a buffet reception of up to 120 persons.

Overnight and weekend packages are available in order that the whole hotel becomes private for your wedding use but it requires all 30 rooms to be booked for that privacy.

There are timing restrictions to various options dependent on location chosen and ideally you should call and discuss these with a member of staff.
