"The best of British traditional hotel. Fabulous views over the coast and amazing walks nearby. We were impressed by the extremely friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has been renovated and it was wonderful to have new towels, bed linen etc., as well as the refreshed decor, new curtains and beautifully equipped, luxurious bathroom.
The breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and delicious."

"Wow ... what a fabulous friendly hotel. The Grand Hotel was the venue for our son's wedding at the end of June 2023. Lindsay and her team did a fantastic job. Everything looked wonderful and ran very smoothly. The food was fabulous (shout out to the chef and kitchen team). The bar and waiting staff were full of fun, very helpful, and greeted guests with a smile all weekend (special thanks Sam!). "Perfect wedding venue"

"We just had our wedding at the Grand Hotel last weekend. It was perfect from start to finish. There was no problem too small for Lindsay, the general manager, to solve both on the day and in the planning. Christine made sure our whole day went to plan and was on hand all day. Brad and the house staff were incredibly helpful and so welcoming to all our guests during the whole weekend. If you are getting married in Swanage don't get married anywhere else."

"This time last week. ( 14/09/2024 ) We attended the most perfect wedding my daughter and her husband. Made perfect by the seamless professional service of Lindsay Bish and all of her staff at the Grand Hotel Swanage. "Stayed for a few days in May at this lovely old hotel. It looks out over a garden and all the beaches down the coast. If you are coming on a special occasion it is worth paying the extra for a sea view room - ours was lovely with a comfortable bed where you could lie in and watch the sea."
